3 Husbands or 1 True Love?
I was chatting with my friend Jason from New Zealand today as we normally do all the time. Topics would range from movies, to travel plans to my shopping sprees and drinking. LOL. But today, I found myself really thinking about what he said...


Jason says:
Do you think you are starting to settle down now?

Princess Lara says:
well, i feel i am getting old. lol.
i don't drink as much as i used to...

Jason says:
Give it 2 years and you will be married and living in a nice house. Still drinking but only a few.

Princess Lara says:
lol. well yah... i will be 30 in 2 years.
i need to have a husband by then, otherwise i won't make it to having 3. lol

Jason says:
yes thats right. so who is first?

Princess Lara says:
lol. i don't know yet

Jason says:
The rich one to get the good divorce settlement

Princess Lara says:
lol. well, i want my first wedding to be really grand...
i don't think the rich guy i'm dating now is an ideal first husband since he got divorced already

Jason says:
I actually think you will only get married once.

Princess Lara says:
why?

Jason says:
Because deep down you want someone you really love and want to be with for a longtime.

Princess Lara says:
aawwww... lol

Jason says:
Can I take that as a yes?

Princess Lara says:
lol. no.
it's just way to mushy and funny coming from you

Jason says:
ok then. do you want to have a bet on it? lol

Princess Lara says:
sure let's bet on that... it will be a long bet though. lol.
how about you do u ever see urself married?

Jason says:
I think yes maybe one day i will get married. And most likely an asian girl.


Oh well, we'll have to wait and see when that time comes...

MME 10th Anniversary

This is long overdue... well, better late than never.

Most of the people thought I was crazy to waste money on airfare just to attend the anniversary party. But not for me, money is nothing compared to being reunited with the people who were part of my life for a long time.

MultiMedia Exponents is where it all started.

Well, technically it was my second job. But most of the things that I know now - I learned from them. It was not easy being with them for 3 years and 8 months --- but I don't regret it. It's still the longest time that I stayed in one company and there were a lot of happy moments din naman.

So, to all the MME people... congratulations! And good luck... I'm sure you'll have more anniversaries to celebrate!

One Night in Bangkok
Often, I would have friends visiting Bangkok. Although I don't get to tour them around the city, I make it a point to at least spend one night with them, so they get to taste the wonderful nightlife that's nothing like in Manila or whatever country they're from.

There's probably thousands of bars and restaurants --- from lo-so to hi-so. And whatever your liking is, there's something to suit your taste.

Here's a typical 'tour' I give to friends:

DINNER
Since we're in Thailand, we should be eating authentic Thai cuisine. The problem is that I don't really like Thai food. Hahaha! But no worries, I've found the best restaurant with great Thai and international menu plus the best cakes I've tasted (and believe me, I have tried a lot). It's Coffee Bean by Dao... a very popular place among local hi-so people, even the Royal Family eats there!

AFTER DINNER DRINKS
Razzle-dazzle... there's no place like Sirocco. It's a restaurant and bar on top of the State Tower, the 2nd tallest building in Bangkok. It's simply amazing! I actually love hanging out here, but on the other bar at the same floor- Distil. And as some of you know, a certain "friend" lives on this building.

CLUBBING
Am I too old for this? No way! LOL. I have a lot of favorite bars, and one of them is Bed Supperclub. Good music and nice interiors. Sometimes, I feel like I'm being transported to a different country because its filled with foreigners. The downside of all these is that, it peaks around midnight... and closes at 1:30am or even earlier. Unfortunately due to the Thai regulations, all bars must close at 2am. Hahaha.

That's it... not much really. Since there are really a lot of places to visit with so little time. I've figured these places are the best ones if you're visiting Bangkok for the first time - and of course I want to leave a good impression on my friends so that they don't see just how chaotic and dirty Bangkok is.

Mission: Organization
Believe it or not, my wardrobe cabinets are pretty organized. My clothes are separated according to style or function - jeans, skirts, cocktail dresses, gowns, office clothes etc. When they’re scattered in a mess - I'm often caught up in confusion and indecision: "I don't have anything to wear!" [when in fact, I have tons of clothes].

This applies to my life too. No matter how many guys there are, I feel more comfortable when I know where to place them. Seriously!

I've sort of made it simple and just classified them into 3:

"GOOD FRIENDS"
Nice guys. There's nothing wrong with them, but the fact that I have no other words to describe them other than "nice" reveals a lot. LOL. I have several 'good friends'... very reliable, okay looking and great to talk to... but there's no chemistry... no fireworks.

"MR. RIGHT NOW"
Not really right... but literally meaning he's just here for the moment. Guys who I classify as such are the ones who totally makes my heart beep. I can go on and on thinking about 'us' the entire day and forget my work altogether. But then, the fireworks end. The feeling only lasts for a while before reality seeps back in... he just wants to get fucked. And I must say that I have quite a handful under this short-term-fun category. No regrets - just plain uninhibited enjoyment between two people. At least I know where to place them and do not label them 'love'.

"MR. RIGHT"
But does he even exist? The boyfriend material - the best of both worlds.
Obviously, this box is empty for me. But I do wish that along the way, sooner or later... my Mr. Right Now will bring himself to be the one.



Funny, but this post is actually a result of my idleness and my high school friend - Sacha's comment while we were talking on YM today. She said: "Did it ever cross your mind na baka kaya di ka magka love life is because, at the back of your mind, yung mga nihahanap mo sa guy eh nakita mo na kay [name*]."

*I'd rather not mention his name since he's already married and very happy with his family.
