3 tulog na lang!
I am sooooo excited! obviously...
You know, working in a foreign land is really difficult. I've been here for only 10 months and I never stop complaining. I miss my family, friends, work culture, ex-officemates... the things I miss are endless. To think I went home for a vacation last December (when I was just barely 4 months working)... and then again this June. =)
I am sooo lucky to have this opportunity to actually have a paid vacation every six months. Too bad for other Filipinos who have to leave their families and make a living and then see them once every two years or so.
But you see, that's not really the case here. I'm single and youngest in the family... I'm not really here for the income... (hahaha! some of you may find it unbelievable but its TRUE.) I was happy when I was in Manila working for the best and the biggest advertising agency... (oh ha!)
Looking at it, I see that moving to Thailand like a stroll to the mall with limitless shopping budget. And so now that my bags are full from all those weekend retail-therapy, it's time to go home and party! =)

Top 5 OPM songs for now...
First of all, I would like to thank my friends and family who constantly update me on what's happening in our dear country, especially to Nathan and my nephew Aji.
And thank God for the Internet, I can download mp3s and lyrics.
So here are my faves for now... (feel free to react... and add to my very limited list)
1. I Don't Wanna Be Your Friend by Nina
I don't wanna see your face
I don't wanna hear your name
I don't wanna thing
Just stay away baby
Don't wanna know if you're alright
Or what you're doin' with your life
Don't wanna hear you say
You'll just stay in touch baby
I'll get by just fine
And if you're goin' then darlin'
Goodbye, goodbye
Don't call me in the middle of
the night no more
Don't expect me to be there
Don't think that it will be
The way it was before
Don't think that I care
I'm not over you yet
And I don't wanna be your friend
I'll forget we ever met
I'll forget I ever let
Ever let you into
this heart of mine baby
You just gotta let me be
You gotta keep away from me
'Cause all I want is just
To be free from you baby
Don't you come around
And say you still care about me
Just go now, go now...
[At kung para kanino man ang awit na ito, kami na lang ni Nathan ang nakakaalam nun...]
2. The Way You Look at Me by Christian Bautista
3. Crazy For You by SpongeCola
4. You'll be Safe Here by Rivermaya
5. Away From You by Christian Bautista
By the way, kasalanan ni Carlo why I like Christian Bautista... he actually asked me to download an entire album for him!

Ep Ngaw
That's how Thais call the feeling when you're really sad but pretend to be happy. And so they would often ask me "Lala, are you ep ngaw again?", and my reply would be "Chai ka" (yes).
Hay, walang tigil na kalungkutan. Anobuzz...

Bianca's Invitation
Cutie?! Of course! I designed it... ;P

Reality TV rules my TV!
Oh, I'm so addicted to watching TV... and all reality shows! I've watched ALL seasons of Survivor and The Amazing Race =)
Just recently, one of my favorite shows ended - The Amazing Race 7. I'm happy, yet somehow a bit disappointed with the results.
You see, I really like Rob & Amber
(former winners of the Survivor)...
But they were real assholes during the game and thus did not deserve to win.
Uchenna & Joyce on the other hand played the game really fairly, and where able to surpass all obstacles... to think they were at the bottom of the pack most of the time. Plus the fact that Joyce shaved her head to win a fast forward! You go girl!
I'm happy that they won =)
On third place was Ron & Kelly. Gosh, this couple didn't stop fighting until the end... it was like watching Oprah with Dr. Phil trying to help couples sort out their 'feelings' or something.
And then of course, there is Surivor: Palau which will have its season finale soon. I think I like Ian to win =) I would have really wanted Steph, but then she was voted out already. Steph is probably one of the best characters ever in reality TV!
Oh, the other shows I love watching are (or watched, as most of them ended already or just about to start a new season):
- The Bachelor (especially the 2nd season!)
- The Bachelorette
- Playing it Straight
- The Apprentice
- The Swan
- The Contender (pati ito pinapatulan ko!)
- Fear Factor
- Joe Millionaire
- The Family
- America's Next Top Model
Unfortunately, my cable here in Bangkok does not have Star World, ergo no AMERICAN IDOL and QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY =(

Dirty Men and Their Swords
The Good Ones...
The Really Bad Ones...
I am getting so sick of watching these films... enough already!!! But I guess, I never really learn... because I still keep on watching everytime there's a new one.

Thai Holidays
I love holidays! And apparently, Thais love 'em too! Except that there's no Christmas or Easter...
And everything that falls on a Saturday or Sunday is automatically substituted on a Monday =)
- January 1 - New Year
- February 23 - Makha Bucha Day
- April 6 - Chakri Day
- April 13 - Songkran Festival
- April 14 - Songkran Festival
- April 15 - Songkran Festival
- May 1 - Labor Day
- May 5 - Coronation Day
- May 22 - Wisakha Bucha Day
- July 1 - Mid Year's Day (I think this is a weird holiday... no religious or national significance)
- July 22 - Buddhist Lent Day
- August 12 - Queen's Birthday (this is also their Mother's Day)
- October 23 - Chulalongkorn Day
- December 5 - King's Birthday (and this is Father's Day)
- December 10 - Constitution Day
- December 31 - New Year's Eve
There you go... 16 Thai holidays. I'm not sure if I missed out on something. But actually depending on the company, some even have more holidays... like on May 11 is the Royal Ploughing Day. It's not mandatory, but some businesses will be closed. Or Christmas... especially if you have a Caucasian boss... (lucky me, I work for one!)

Completely Well
Finally! I was sick the entire week last week. Well, I'm finally well! I already went shopping yesterday =)
