I never ran out of issues, dilemmas, concerns!
Well, I guess that's part of being me --- a drama queen.

We have a long holiday here in Thailand called Songkran from April 13-15. What a perfect time to take a longer vacation right???

But no!!!!!!!

Well, normally it should be. Unfortunately there are several things I must consider:

1. One of the SBU managers is going to the US. His vacation request was approved over a month ago... and in his absence, I have to take care of his account managers - a group of three new and very clueless people.
2. One of the top management executives resigned. How sad... but of course life must go on. Thus more work will be required from the other SBU Managers - and I must of course be there to help them.
3. The other SBU manager who I directly work with is also taking a leave because she needs to bring her stepmom for a major operation. Again... I am the only senior person who can look after our new employees and attend client meetings with them.

Enough reasons for me not to even think of asking my boss for a longer vacation leave. Sheesh. I love my boss so much, and I don't want to add more to her stress. She's a good boss, and I know that she will actually allow me if I did ask... but I won't. I'd feel so guilty if I do!

To those of you who work in a regular office, you might think I'm crazy and stupid. I know it's my right and privilege to take a vacation... and that it should not be taken against me if I do have a long one. But somehow... I realized that perhaps whether its in Manila or in Bangkok, I guess companies like ours - always demand almost 24/7 from their employees. And somehow, people who choose to work in this field learn to accept it as it is. We complain and whine all the time, but at the end of the day... we give in to the demand... no matter how much 'personal time' we lose. [Right Yeng? Hehe...]

And so, I have decided that I will not take a long vacation to Sydney. Gaya nga ng sabi ni Nathan "Sydney will always be there." Tama... I can just reschedule my trip sometime this year. At minsan lang magkaroon ng opportunity to make major sipsip that will ensure a brighter, more financially rewarding future. Hahaha! Mukhang pera forever?!

Yes, I am a major slut. And forever will be!
But let me make it clear that I only say this in a corporate/work sense.
[I can hear a lot of "yah right!?" reactions...]

I like giving people what they want. And get paid big time in return. LOL.

Nakakainis that I am.

I will take a shorter vacation and fly to Manila - which is also well and good! I hope that my plan to go to the beach with a bunch of friends pushes through. Otherwise, I will be totally shattered. [Nathan, please make it happen. Pressure?!]

Manila here I come again...

Pero, wait... di ko pa rin pinapa-cancel yung Sydney booking ko!

Am I still hoping na baka maiba ang ihip ng hangin?! hahaha.
